Celsius Hire undertook the ‘Three Peaks Challenge’ on September 7th, 2024. Our team climbed the summit in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowden).
We are doing this to raise money for our partners, Solent Mind, with the added bonus of an awesome personal and team achievement! Which it really was!!
Solent Mind are a local charity and one we are proud to support. They’re here to make sure that anyone with a mental health problem has somewhere to turn to for advice and support. Their mental health experts can help if you feel low, worried or anxious and need to talk.
FRIDAY – On route to Scotland
The team is on route to Scotland – for the first of THREE peaks to climb! Our brilliant team have been hard at training for this challenge; and your support has been incredible… BUT this is the hard bit!
All smiles now – but we know this is going to be an undeniably difficult challenge. Three peaks totalling 3408m all within 24hrs!
Eastleigh > London Waterloo > Euston Wetherspoons > Warrington > Glasgow > Fort William
SATURDAY – The Challenge Begins
An early morning start for the team to begin the challenge of a lifetime! Embarking on a hike of 1,345m; making Ben Nevis the highest peak in the UK.
The team were incredibly pleased with the sunny warm September morning to start their day! Making for some stunning views with beautiful blue sky throughout their first climb of the day!
NEXT UP: Scarfell Pike
After a bumpy mini bus drive; the team arrived at Scarfell Pike early evening for their second climb. Achey legs and little rest the trek begins!
AND FINALLY – Snowdon
The team began their last peak in the early hours of Sunday morning. Snowdon is 1085m and generally the easiest going of the three; but with achey legs and barely a couple of hours sleep this one was tough!
THREE PEAKS – Completed!
The team did an incredible job! We are all so proud of their achievements! But lets hear from them…
What an achievement! And all for a fantastic charity. We cannot thank everyone enough for the donations; well exceeding our expectations. Mental health is so important and as a business we pride ourselves on the support we provide when and where we are needed.
