Meet Anthony – many readers may actually know of him due to his brilliant reputation in the industry as an expert in his field and a larger than life character! Anthony was one of our first acquisitions as we began to expand the business and someone we knew we wanted to join team Celsius!
Heading up the Northern team, installs and our northern depot; Anthony is tuned in to all aspects of the hire process. So we thought we’d have a chat and a brew with him this week, check out what we discussed below:
Q: Hey Anthony, tell us about your winter 2024/2025 highlights!
“Couple really good highlights for this season, both personally and within the Northern side of the business.
Firstly, landing ourselves a really big key customer who provide all the heating for a large scale nationwide supermarket; turning out to be a very large account on heating equipment already!
As well as a really impressive stand out install this winter… a 3MW boiler package for a heating application in Hull. This is a big application for winter heating at a large warehouse renovation, with five 600kW boiler paired with Air Handling units, on full fuel management. All involved absolutely smashed this and continue to work with the site for their fuel requirements and on going maintenance.
This has seen a large revenue increase for the North over the last few months. To keep this going, the northern based sales and engineering team is growing… and more coming soon!”
Q: Almost two years at Celsius Hire! What has that two years been like?
Easily one of the best things about being part of Celsius Hire is the camaraderie. Working with the best team in the industry. Supported by all areas of the business, learning, growing and having a laugh! You can see it in our blogs and linkedin – we all genuinely get along and have the best time working together.
Since starting at Celsius Hire, it’s been brilliant. So many opportunities to grow and learn new skills, in particular working within the operations sector of the business; learning ops management skills, becoming a first aider and fire marshall, plus furthering my knowledge on sales applications with our great customer base.
You never stop learning and Celsius Hire has given me the opportunities to keep growing.
Q: A quick snap of some our Northern based team, shall we introduce them?
So this was last week when a few of us were on an install together! We have Gary – Our most senior (age wise) member of the team! We brought Gaz on for his brilliant experience and extensive knowledge.
Then we have engineer Kieran whose home location means he can be split between supporting the North and South with installs. Great worker…. and also small so can fit into the tighter gaps!!
Not in the photo but not forgotten is Richard Thurston, his attitude, knowledge and professionalism supports the team hugely. His work ethic sets the bar very high for any trainee or new engineers.
Then myself… Ops Manager for the North. Gets involved in all aspects of the business. Depot operations, sales, install, transport, cleaning, chief brew maker…. with the support from the rest of the business the plan is to grow the North (bigger than the south haha!) over next couple years. There will be lots of new additions to the team as we grow!”
