Supermarket Heating Package
The Challenge
Our client came to us needing an urgent temporary heating solution for a large scale supermarket. Their current heating system had faulty heat pumps; meaning it was completely out of action… and shoppers were feeling the chill. The store needed an urgent fix especially as we are in the midst of their busiest period of the year!
In designing our package we had to take into consideration how we can minimize disruption to our client, as well as how we can match the kilowatt duty of their current equipment. We found a secluded spot at the back of the store in which we could place our IDF heaters and run the ducting up to the roof, ensuring it posed no safety threat to our clients or their customers. Once on the roof, we ran the ducting into the existing air intake, meaning that our solution could be executed quickly and efficiently.
The Solution
We worked closely with the client; the site is customer facing and therefor we needed to ensure the install and equipment would be suitable for the site. Often for supermarkets they have a space at the rear of the building to safely place the equipment away from customer view, which worked well for this particular site. However delivery had to be timed correctly to avoid store deliveries as well as peak time for customers. A nice early delivery and install before opening time of our equipment made everything run smoothy.
Supermarket Heating Package:
1 x Associated Cabling and Distribution
40m x Ducting
The Result
Within 24 hours of the initial enquiry, we were able to carry out the site survey, and with us being able to match the kilowatt duty of the existing equipment, we were able to design, deliver and install our solution to the client.
“Excellent work by the team to get this package sorted for the customer with such a short turn around and no disruption to the clients and more importantly keeping the shoppers warm!” – Sean Johnson, Senior Sales Engineer
