Process Cooling Hire – Aeroplane Engine Manufacturing
The Challenge
Our customer requested Celsius Hire to provide a chiller package for their process chiller requirements. Due to extreme demand in the aeroplane engine manufacturing industry, the client needed to expand quickly, meaning their existing cooling was not sufficient during the summer months. The customer chose to use a temporary cooling solution to give their existing cooling extra support during these months to work alongside their dry air cooler.
What did they require?
- Supporting furness cooling, process cooling for warehouse
- Support on the fixed dry air cooling system during the summer months
- A system to run alongside customers dry air cooler and not taking full duty
The Solution
Customer provided fittings for each chiller on the system. We located each chiller in designated location, run hoses to our plate heat exchanger and fill commissioned primary side. Using flexible hose we connected secondary side of plate heat exchanger to customers system. With assistance from site, we balanced and pressurised system to work with current dry air cooler in place.
- 3 x 125kW chiller
- 3 x 200kW heat exchanger
- Hoses and fittings
- 1 x 300KVA generators
- 1 x 1000L fuel tanks
- 1 x Associated cabling and distribution
The Result
This install went completely as planned; working closely with the onsite team to seamlessly provide a cooling solution in conjunction with their existing system. With the chillers primed and ready for peak demand for when the existing system needs relief during summer months.
