Process Cooling – Chiller hire package for manufacturing facility
The Challenge
Our partner required a chiller hire package for their client who had a breakdown in their manufacturing warehouse. The client operate in the aerospace industry needed their warehouse kept below a certain temperature in order to keep the manufacturing process going and they needed an urgent solution as production had come to a halt.
As this breakdown had stopped all manufacturing and production we knew we had to fly into action…

The Solution
In designing our package we established that our 70kW chiller paired with a 50kW air handling unit was the right equipment for the job. We were able to install our equipment and use it in conjunction with the existing Air Handling Unit to get the solution working.
We worked alongside our client to find an ideal location in which we could place our chiller package. Once the chiller was placed, we were able to wheel our air handling unit into position next to the existing air handling unit. Ducting was then taken from the top of the rental unit and rerouted into the existing AHU, using the existing ductwork infrastructure already in place in the warehouse.
A recirculation duct was also installed, allowing us recycle air circulating within the warehouse, keeping the area below the 25 degrees it needed to be.
- 70kW Chiller
- 50kW AHU
- Return Air Spigot Plate (500mm)
- 10m ducting
- 40m Camlock hose
The Result
From the initial enquiry from the customer we took off and had the site surveyed, the solution designed, delivered and implemented all within 24 hours. “The customer was extremely happy with the service and solution provided by Celsius Hire, with the equipment still on site controlling the temperature and the process!”
