Keeping world famous art pieces warm!
The Challenge
Our client came to us needing an urgent heating solution for a large warehouse housing a number of highly valuable works of art for a world renown art gallery. Their current boiler had broken down and it was critical that the temperature was kept at a certain level to preserve the pieces inside the warehouse.
After the site survey was carried out, we started working on an heating package which we could implement quickly, as well as navigating a tricky central London location. Due to the access available at the site, we had to take into consideration which of our products would be best suitable for the customer.

The Solution
We designed a package which we could deliver, install & commission quickly but also wouldn’t cause any disruption to the customer or affect the pieces inside. A tricky location of the existing plant room meant we only had one unit for the job – our small footprint 300KW micro gas boiler! This unit is able to pallet trucked around the narrow perimeter path skirting the building, ensuring we were close enough to the plant room to utilise the existing gas supply.
Upon arriving at site, we were able to lift our Micro Gas Boiler onto some plyboard and this enabled us to be able to shift the boiler one board at a time, 30m down the narrow stoned walkway next to the plant room. Our boiler was tucked away out of site, enabling the removal of the old faulty boilers.
Warehouse Heating Package;
- 300kW Micro Gas Boiler and associated fittings
- 70m 2″ Camlock Hose
- 24m Gas hose
The Result
“We designed and implemented our package quickly to protect the pieces inside, the job went without any issues and the storage facility was able to remain operational throughout the cold winter months.”
