With 2025 just around the corner our directors are reflecting on another incredible year of growth for Celsius Hire.
Let’s take a look back on the year!
It’s been a huge year for us – our biggest year to date. Starting 2024 off so strong with getting the keys for our new depot, a huge space for the Eastleigh team! From humble beginnings to a brand new warehouse facility, conveniently located just a stones throw from our original space! With a huge amount of warehouse, yard and office space; we’re gearing up to keep growing, keep expanding and become better than ever before.
From the new depot it was only up for the business! Expanding the team, fleet and offering. New equipment and more installs than ever before! So let’s hear from the directors who have made it all happen…
Neil Payne: Service Operations Director
My 2025 highlight is a difficult one to pin point… the big picture answer is that this year we successfully delivered such a high volume of projects for our clients during a fantastic year of growth! With my role in the company, my primary aim is to deliver the best service and support possible; and my team excelled in this!
Delivering upon the large planned flagship projects as well as the fast paced emergency requirements is incredibly rewarding. There have been countless times this year we have been there to provide the solutions to keep businesses running and/or vulnerable people with hot water and heating. Giving our customers a reliable and high quality service is such a priority for the whole service/install team.
Across the military, hospitals, old folks homes, churches and schools we have gone the extra mile to provide the solutions and support them throughout the hire period.
Adding experienced team members along with continued training and development of existing members has been very rewarding for me. Several of my team have developed their skills and abilities dramatically and its has been fantastic to train and support them on their own journey in this industry. I am proud that Celsius Hire can produce such amazing talent by training and encouraging a mind set; although we cant take all the credit… the team should be so proud of the huge strides in that they have achieved.
Taking part in “the three peaks challenge” was a proud moment. Raising funds for an important local charity (Solent Mind) was brilliant especially the support from our friends, family, suppliers and customers. It was a really special few days and brought an already close team even closer, supporting each other through the gruelling moments, laughing hard throughout and bringing each other up when we were struggling! It was hard but I know that the team will remember the highs and lows of the challenge for years to come.
2025, the fourth year of Celsius Hire! With growing requirements we continue to add to the team; we are always keeping an eye out and taking applications. It is vital for our team that a good mix of experience; from new to the industry to some of the most experienced engineers in the country are chosen to ensure the balance of the team is correct. We look individuals who share our ethos, passion and a high standard as we continue to grow the company and challenge the industry standards.
Jake Revell : Sales and Marketing Director
The sales, projects and marketing team at Celsius Hire have had a fantastic year. They have all played their part in driving our growth and providing an excellent service for our customers. Our project highlights include;
- Cooling an airport server room after an emergency call out!
- A huge central London superstore cooling package
- Another busy ice rink season
- Keeping some of the biggest Hollywood actors cool over the summer
- … and lots more
As well as our new Eastleigh depot opening, a fleet of vans (designed in house by the team), our annual team BBQ, huge fleet expansion, growing the team, our charity challenge… the list goes on! What a year!!
In 2024 we have had two new members join the team; Scott Frost-Davies joins us as ‘Sales Engineer’ covering the North East, and Sam Bridge joins us as ‘Internal Sales Engineer’, supporting the wider sales and marketing team from an office based role. Both have already made a great impact and we look forward to working with them and seeing them develop throughout next year and beyond.
Outside of the day to day; it was great to see all of our sales team take part in the ‘Three Peaks Challenge’ in September, all smashing it out the park. Raising over £5,000 for our brilliant charity partner Solent Mind.
We have a new regional sales engineer due to start with us in January, plus lots of large exciting projects on the horizon. Luckily, we have an amazing wider team here at Celsius led by experienced industry specialists, so I have no doubt we will continue to provide our customers with an outstanding service as we continue to grow. 2024 has been our biggest year to date… and we are so ready to keep on growing!
Luis Santos: Warehouse Operations Director
The 2024 highlights have been a big step forward for Celsius Hire and have really improved what we can offer our customers. Moving into a new depot was a huge achievement, especially with the challenge of transferring all the equipment from the old site. We also built a new chiller testing area that works alongside the boiler test area, which lets us test multiple pieces of equipment at once while saving on energy costs. This means everything is in top condition before it gets to our customers.
On top of that, we set up new processes for goods-in, goods-out, servicing and repairs; which has made things much smoother and faster when getting equipment to our customers. Finally, we created a dedicated spares area with every part clearly organised for the right equipment; it was already pretty organised, but with the new depot space we were able to create a huge space just for spares and repairs! This makes repairs quicker and ensures components can be sent to site straight away.
This year, our team has had so many moments to be proud of. One of the biggest being getting our brand new depot ready for the open day—it took the first ten weekends of the year, but we pulled it off!
We also made sure all the AC equipment was ready to go before summer and got the heating equipment prepped ahead of winter. This process was vital for our quick turn arounds this year; making everything seamless and stress free! On top of that, a bunch of us knocked out important training; forklift training, PAT testing and essential electrics. What really stood out, though, was the team’s attitude—everyone showed up early, stayed late, and even worked weekends when things got busy, all without a single complaint. It’s been a year full of teamwork and dedication!
2025 is looking like an exciting year for Celsius Hire and our team! We’re bringing on a depot electrical/mechanical engineer to boost the team, and both Chris and Marcus will be doing forklift training. Marcus is also set to complete a week long F-gas training course to build his skills even further. It’s going to be a great year for growth and development!
Lee Chard: Supply Chain and Finance Director
The Hire Desk & Accounts team are the behind-the-scenes hero’s of 2024, with well over 600 orders processed this year its been very busy this year, each order requires transport being booked, engineers scheduled and potentially fuel management being implemented. They are always available on the phone for any queries, hotel bookings and training requirements and manage to do all of this with a smile on their face. We have raised over 2,500 customer invoices and pride ourselves on accuracy and consistency which I’m sure all of our customers really appreciate.
With the ambitious growth plans for the business in 2025 the team is ready to provide all the necessary support in the background to ensure this is achievable with minimal fuss. We are also looking to implement a new online staff training and management portal that will benefit all divisions within the business as we grow our staff and hire fleet numbers, this will be going live in Q1 of 2025.
…and thats a wrap! 2024 – what a year.
